Domestic electricity storage in Gleußen, Germany:
This system has been installed in 2013 and started grid operation end of September that year.
The PV generator power is 9,36 kWp, distributed evenly onto south, east and west roof. As storage unit is used a lead battery system IBC SolStore 8.0 Pb with 4 kWh useable capacity, which is loaded and unloaded via a SMA Sunny Island 6.0H inverter. In 2014 it is planned to upgrade a backup functionality.
In the household are consumed approx. 4000 kWh per year. Target for 2014 is to completely even out the resulting electricity bill by combination of own consumption and feed in of exceeding energy to the grid.
